Tim Miner
Tim Miner, who has been tending bar in New York for over ten years, writes Jigger & Spoon. He cut his teeth in the industry working at neighborhood bars and restaurants. As the craft cocktail movement took off Tim took notice and went looking for a bar in which he could learn to make high-end drinks. In 2010 he started working at The Jakewalk, a wine bar with a strong cocktail program in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. He was eventually promoted to head bartender and bar manager at which time he quickly expanded the cocktail program and his cocktails began to earn some notice in bar industry press. His drinks have appeared in publications including: The New York Times, The Essential New York Times Cocktail Book, AM New York, Eater, The Alcohol Professor, Shakestir and numerous spirits blogs. In 2015 he was named New York's Best Bartender by Time Out Magazine. Currently he is working at The Long Island Bar, Toby Cecchini's popular cocktail den in Brooklyn, New York.
